Jack the Dripper!

Jackson Pollock ( click on his name and you can paint just like him!) is one of my favorite artist. He is known best for his dripping technique and a major force in the abstract expressionist movement. Some may look at his work and think it's just some scribble scrabble on a board, but its more about his complexity and expression that he puts into his work. He danced around the canvas swifly creating a masterpeice that would become studied and observed by many that appreciate his complex style. Some say he was a mad man, but regardless, he inspired me as a painter to understand that " Every good painter paints what he is." So I encourage any artist, whether u sing, dance, draw, or paint, go ahead and get your Jackson Pollock on and EXPRESS YOURSELF! Watch the clip to see the master at work!

Im currently reading this book for like the....hundredth time. First time I read it for an English assignment, I didnt really appreciate the dynamics of it until I got a lil older. Moving down the streams of my lifetime, I often pick up this great book and discover more fasinating details like it was never there when I read it the first time....So turn off the T.V. and pick up a book!

EVENTS 4 The GROWN FOLKS!

The first event that you must go see before the month over is my homie Jesse Boykins III. Foreign Exchange ( Phonte from Little Brother and Nicolay) w/ Yahzarah and J*Davey will be in the DMV area next month at the Eden's Lounge in BMORE on March 5, 2009 and in DC at the Black Cat March 6,2009.
